As you may know, in order to hire people on an Accredited Employer Work Visa (AEWV) you must be offering the New Zealand median wage or higher (unless exempt).
On February 27 2023, the median wage increased, meaning employers now need to be aware of the new wage requirements.
We’ve had many calls from employers looking for guidance and support on the new AEWV pay thresholds and thought a summary by industry might be helpful for you all. You can download this below:

As per the changes announced last week, the median wage requirement also applies to partners of AEWV holders and Essential Skills Work Visa holders. New visas and conditions will be granted from 31 May 2023.
There are exemptions to the Median Wage requirement for occupations covered by the Sector Agreements. Note that visas granted, however, will be for shorter duration with limitations such as stand-down periods imposed.
Sectors, such as IT and various other occupations can require a higher wage rate to qualify under the Green List pathway.
